Bio
This blog is about shots I have taken and spots I have visited during my travels in the Pacific Northwest. Shots are posted in no particular order other than that guided by my whims and fancies. Sometimes I will provide enough information that will guide you to where I've been, and sometimes not.
Many days you will find me somewhere between the Pacific Ocean and Montana's eastern border and between the northern ranges of British Columbia and the southern borders of Oregon and Idaho.
My travels are related to my business, which is editing and publishing an Internet travel guide.
My photography (some might call it "picture-taking") is a lifelong habit started when as a child I first used a Kodak box camera. I graduated to an Argus C3 SLR as a late teen and first used it when I landed a job as a lookout for the US Forest Service. I majored in journalism at my University and later worked as a corporate publications editor. I said good bye to the corporate world in my mid-50s and eventually started my own business which brought together most of the work skills developed over a lifetime with the activities I have always enjoyed.>
I think I'm just now learning the "art" of photography.
My home is in the midst of this vast region called the Pacific Northwest and I live approximately half way between my son and daughter-in-law to the west; and my daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren to the northeast.
My tree-shaded street, friendly neighbors and close proximity to necessary stores suits me well.
As does my hard-wood floors, fireplace, recliner, and relaxing music.
