Avalanche Creek

THE SHOT

The day was misting rain so it was a good day to try one's hand at playing with water. This shot was selected from a number of them taken at this spot along the creek. Thick evergreen forests of cedar and fir lined both sides of the creek and also afforded some protection from the weather.

THE SPOT

Getting here was a short hike from the Going to the Sun road on the west side of Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. The trail begins in a grove of old-growth cedar and pretty much follows the creek to it's source at Avalanche Lake.
